:o They ran STREET ANGEL last year during 31 Days of Oscar, a TCM premiere at 3.00 O'clock in the afternoon. Hasn't been shown since. Why can't this seem to get on Silent Sunday Nights. SEVENTH HEAVEN incidentally has never been shown on TCM. Hoped it would pop up on the schedule this time around. Didn't happen. Ditto for UNDERWORLD and THE LAST COMMAND. Both still awaiting TCM debuts.

 Whoops. OK, I thought you said TCM. I never heard of FXM before? What is that that a new Fox Channel?

Great news. Is there any way someone could set up some kind of email reminder to everyone that wants one? I always forget these things.

You can do it yourself. Go to their web schedule, click on the "right" arrow to get to February's schedule. Click on the date, the 28th. At each movie listed, there is a little hand icon with a string on a finger. Click on that for the movie and fill out the form for a reminder.

I have not tried it, so you might want to test it with an earlier showing.

I hope everyone saw it last year on TCM.
I just tried to see something on FMC, and they now advertise "With Limited Commercial Interruptions".

So, they are breaking in the middle of the films for commercials. I am so spoiled with TCM that I think that would be freakishly jarring with a silent film.

That said, I did see "Street Angel" last year and loved it. I think it is much better than the much touted "Sunrise".

Long Live TCM !!!

In case anyone else was relying on the Fox site's email reminder for this, I wouldn't. Here is an email I got:

Thanks for your interest in . This reminder is for Thursday, January 1, 1970 at 12:00 am Eastern Time - See you then!

This is the only email message that you will receive from Fox Movie Channel for this movie unless you request additional Schedule Reminders. If you no longer wish to receive any future Schedule Reminders, follow this link.

Has anyone seen any commercial breaks on FMC? I have recorded several films lately and there were no commercials in any of them.

Huh?

Yep, I got the exact same message as you. Not a good sign of the competency of whoever is running their website!

I recorded "Miracle" (about the 1980 USA Hockey Olympic Team), & they broke for promos & announced that they had "limited commercial breaks".
