I guess The Artist is really influencing pop culture. Tonight's American Idol Ford commercial/music video was a Keystone Cops-style short. Only Jessica and Joshua appeared in it, not Phillip.

Ufortunately it does tend to feature the rather usual version of what people think a silent picture looks and feels like.

I agree. Although it was nice to see silent film "celebrated" I was waiting to see the girl tied to a railroad track.
