Bob,

:? I've seen YOUNG APRIL. Not a whole lot happens it. But maybe what I saw was missing some footage.

Grapevine releasing The End Of St Petersburg is a little disappointing when it has been available in a decent edition for many years, from the likes of Image, Eureka and Kino. I'm not sure what this version is likely to add to what is already available, and most silent film buffs will already have a copy as well. While we shouldn't look a gift-horse such as Grapevine in the mouth, this does seem just a little pointless, unless I'm missing something.

Grapevine states that this is a reissue version with the original orchestral score. I'm not familiar with other home video editions so perhaps Grapevine's is an edition not out there?

possibly. but i'm still wondering how many would want to own more than one print of such a film. Great film though it is, for most of us it's a case of watch it once and never watch it again (unless for study purposes); it's hardly a cup-of-tea-and-a-plate-of-biscuits-watch-for-enjoyment type of film.
