Dreamland Faces
General Admission: $8, $10
Shows June 17th at 4 PM
Runtime: 90 minutes

Karen Majewicz & Andy McCormick have been collaborating as Dreamland Faces since 2002. Karen plays stradella & freebass (classical) accordion. Andy sings and plays accordion, piano, organ, & musical saw. Their repertoire includes original compositions and modern classical performed as full scores to silent films. They have played live for dozens of feature length and short films, including classic silent pictures, experimental documentaries from the Eastman Film Archives, and newly restored early animations.

This afternoon Dreamland Faces will be creating and performing original scores to two classic Buster Keaton films - SHERLOCK, JR. and ONE WEEK.

In SHERLOCK, JR. Buster Keaton plays a film projectionist who longs to be a detective, and he puts his meagre skills to work when he is framed by a rival for stealing his girlfriend's father's pocket watch. There's a famous scene where he enters a movie through the screen.

In ONE WEEK, Buster and Sybil exit a chapel as newlyweds. Among the gifts is a portable house you easily put together in one week. It doesn't help that Buster's rival for Sybil switches the numbers on the crates containing the house parts. This film contains the the iconic scene where the house falls on him, but he is standing where a window opening surrounds him.

Isn't this just the sort of thing that dear old dad would enjoy for Father's Day?
