Cinecon showed AFRAID TO TALK last year, and it's a powerful film. AMPAS screened A TRIP TO THE MOON, the restored color version two weeks ago, and it looks really great. Hopefully Serge will go into detail about the 10 years it took to allow the film to decompose in gas so that they then could pull the emulsions of each individual frame, digitally photograph them, and then put it all back together to complete the print.

Ditto. Don't miss it.

A review of 'Blimp' - it sounds as if the restoration is fine - I knew the film was; I've lost count the number of times I've seen it. My favourite - I think the greatest - film of all time is back as she belongs. Can't wait to see it on the big screen over here. If you don't know it, or only from the small screen, do grab the chance to see it as she was designed to be seen....

I could use some digital restoration myself...

Love this film, do hope this restoration plays in Los Angeles. It's almost my favorite P&P. It would be if they hadn't made I Know Where I'm Going.
