The Stanford Theatre's fall program is now up
here. It starts today with a double bill of
Top Hat and
The Gay Divorcee and ends December 24 with
It's a Wonderful Life. They will be closed Mondays and Tuesdays and show two double bills a week.
I haven't noticed any real rarities (and no silents) but the program is more varied than this summer's one. Among the other movies being shown are several Frank Capras, a few with Katharine Hepburn, some Garbo talkies, and a double bill of
Great Expectations and
Brief Encounter.
The Shop Around the Corner and
The Wizard of Oz are on the program just before Christmas.
