Elland show

The programme for the Laurel and Hardy show at the Rex cinema, Coronation Street, Elland, Yorkshire, HX5 0DF on Saturday 31st March at 7.30pm has now been finalised. In addition to Way Out West we will show Below Zero, Going Bye-Bye! and Chickens Come Home.

We will also have our organist Mildred Sutcliffe playing our Conn 651 organ before the show and during the interval.

The shows have been so popular in the past that they have now become an annual event in our calendar. We have 300 seats and the atmosphere of a full house laughing at the antics of our two friends is truly heartwarming. It is an occasion to meet old friends and fellow Laurel and Hardy enthusiasts and it will mark the start of the celebrations to commemorate the centenary of our Rex cinema.

Tickets are £5.00 for all ages and may be purchased in advance from the cinema or by post if you send a stamped addressed envelope with a cheque payable to Rex Cinema (Elland) Ltd; unfortunately we have no facilities for credit or debit cards. The choice of seats depends on your time of arrival; actual seats can only be reserved for parties of ten or more. I hope to see you and your friends on the 31st March.

We have some space for people wishing to set up a few stalls for recruiting purposes, or sale of memorabilia, for no charge. If you would like to take advantage of this, please let us know as soon as possible. We don't have many tables, however, so if you can bring your own this would be helpful.
