I wonder why we seldom see Judy Canova's movies around cable TV or DVD release. From what I have learned from old movie magazines of the 40s and early 50s she was very popular--especially in small town theatres. Part of the reason is the scarcity of Republic non-westerns on media today.

She was very popular, but she mostly comes across as annoying now- much like Betty Hutton.

When I was young the show HEE HAW was popular and ran for years, but to catch it now you've got to find a specialty cable channel.
