Wow, strange: I hadn't thought about this show for YEARS, then earlier today I looked it up on YouTube (along with other 70's shows like The Barbary Coast with Doug McClure and Shatner, The Man From Atlantis, etc.) Then I come here and see this post.
And speaking of 70's shows and very on-topic, I recommend Ellery Queen starring Jim Hutton and David Wayne. It only lasted one season but it's a really fun show (set in the 40's, not modernized) and the guest star slots are filled with great classic actors. Music was by Elmer Bernstein, so that's another bonus. Netflix has it but not streaming. Here's the complete first episode on YouTube. Ray Milland and Kim Hunter guest star.
