Looking for Buster Keaton TV show

PostWed Aug 03, 2011 9:37 pm

I was wondering if anyone could help in finding footage from Buster Keaton's tv show from the early 1950s.

In particular, I used to have a compilation tape with W.C. Fields, Buster Keaton, and the Three Stooges that had footage from The Buster Keaton Show (or maybe "Life with Buster Keaton"... not sure which). They have it on youtube, but the audio and video quality are lacking:

I have since lost that VHS, and now the only one I have left is a VHS called "The Misadventures of Buster Keaton," from Signature Classics (c)1994 which is a compilation of a bunch of skits, including this one:

Does anyone know where I could get a hold of VHS or DVDs from the first clip I put here? I tried Ebay and Amazon, but no luck finding cover art that matched the original VHS I used to have...

And/or have there been any DVD releases with new footage from Buster's tv shows? I'm slowly going down his Filmography on a quest to "catch them all" in the best possible format.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I think you'll find what you're looking for here:

Scroll down to THE BUSTER KEATON SHOW and "Sam Keaton" is on Volume One.

Also Grapevine Video has THE MISADVENTURES OF BUSTER KEATON on DVD. This was a compilation of episodes released theatrically overseas. (I believe the DVD has some extra episodes, as well as the feature.)

Me too!

I see the a-1video site also features The King of the Champs-Elysées, optionally with subtitles. I've read about this film but never seen it, has anyone seen this version? Thanks
