Jaws -Is that a good restoratio edition for Blu Ray?

PostFri Aug 03, 2012 5:49 pm

Well, someone may say that we cannot judge a Blu Ray for screen captures.

The image do not look verry sharp or film like for me. Looks like excessive or not optimal grain reduztion filter was used.
It's not bad, but it's not great, at least for what the screen captures show us.

Have anybody watched this Blu Ray of Jaws ????
Maybe it's another case of screen captures do not make justice.
Keep thinking...

I have it on pre-order, and I'm sure it's a step up, given the reviews I've read. The new restoration featurette on the blu-ray should best answer the question.

I hear Spielberg blessed the new Blu Ray.

A digitally restored version is also coming to big screens in the USA on Aug. 23.
