I’ve listened to a few of your talks Frank but as an “older type” who saw all the Cinerama productions back when they were released originally down here, this particular one brought back many fond memories.

As a former film editor, I was particularly pleased that time was spent discussing the projection and editing processes and difficulties.

I’ve owned the DVD of “How the West Was Won” for a few years, but found it almost impossible to watch on my small 21 inch CRT TV. I recently purchased a 50 inch plasma, and for my birthday I treated myself to my first Blu-Ray being “HTWWW”. What a difference a large screen and SmileBox makes – not the same as a three panel presentation, but a very good simulation!

I still have a few original Cinerama programs from way back, plus the LP (black vinyl) soundtrack of “South Seas Adventure” on the Audio Fidelity label. In the “Seven Wonders” program there’s an amazing photo of the Cinerama cutting room.

Oh I wish I was in LA - I’m very envious of those going to the Dome - but Aunt Martha’s got problems with her toenails .

Love the Commentary Track - keep up the good work!

I can't tell you how touched and pleased I am by your kind words. Thank you very much.

As for spending time talking about technical things, some people have advised me not to do that so much, that non-movie people wouldn't get it. Personally, I don't figure any non-movie people will listen to this in the first place, so I'd rather assume that my listeners were smart and informed. That way we can get into much more interesting subjects. At least, that's the way I see it.
