2012 William Desmond Taylor

PostMon Jan 23, 2012 11:56 pm

William Desmond Taylor died 90 years ago and I will be at the crypt on Tuesday, February 7 about 2pm as it will be the anniversary of the funeral. It is interesting that the days of the week fall on the same dates as they did back in 1922.

I was thinking of leaving flowers on Wednesday (February 1) at Hollywood Forever but his friends accompanied him to the mausoleum and I like to think of myself as a friend. Is anyone else going to be there?

I have uploaded the story of William Desmond Taylors life, which was published in the Movie Weekly in a series of weekly articles, if you have not read the whole thing and have the time (it is rather long) …remember as you read it, this was done hastily with just the material that was known at the time, some 90 years ago, this was just the stories told of his life and what WDT told his friends; This is the man his friends believed him to be; we know more now, thanks to the works of historians like the brilliant work done by the magnificent Bruce Long; it is not a factorial treatment but just The Colorful and Romantic Story of William Desmond Taylors Remarkable Life
