Help! Apparently there was a TCM broadcast called: "THE FILMS OF GEORGE MELIES", that ran almost 2 hours. The series of films was divided into Parts: "Discoverer Of Cinema", "Magical Melies", "Mischievous Melies" etc. Between films there was some indication that this collection came from the box set called "First Wizard Of The Cinema". But that list of titles does not correspond to what was on the TCM broadcast, which is specifically called "THE FILMS OF..." Can anyone provide me with a list of what is on this TCM set? ("The Films Of George Melies") Robert Osborne's introduction mentions that there are 16 of them.

I can't quite answer your question, despite searching on TCM's site. I think that I recorded the showing, but erased it when I found that all the titles were on one or another of the Flicker Alley box sets that I have.

However, TCM's show "The Films of Georges Melies" is scheduled to be repeated on the night of Sunday, July 15th. If you have TCM available, you might catch it then...

According to the viewer reviews on the TCM site, at least two people missed the ending of the show when they watched their recordings. It apparently went over the two hour program listing, or something. That showing was in September 2011.

If anyone is recording it, allow extra, extra time at the end.

From the November 2010 Now Playing Guide. Both November 2010 and September 2011 Guides say 16 films. Only the July 2012 says 17 with the July 2012 and September 2011 listing the same run times.
