If you are asking were these titles renamed and released with a different title than your lobby cards you feature in "Aventuras", the answer appears to be ......yes for Avenging Rider (1928) and Red Hot Hoofs (1926). Unclear about Cow Punching for Cupid as Rustling for Cupid (1926) was a completely different title directed by Irving Cummings (Source= AFI)

Avenging Rider was released 10/7/28 by FBO and directed by Wallace Fox with Tom Tyler as Tom Larkin. Other cast: Florence Allen, Frankie Darro, Al Ferguson, Bob Fleming, and Arthur Thalasso.

Red Hot Hoofs was released by R-C Pictures and distributed by FBO on 12/19/26. Directed by Robert De Lacey. Tom Tyler as Tom Buckley. Other cast: Frankie Darro, Dorothy Dunbar, Stanley Taylor, Harry O'Connor, Al Kaufman, and Barney Furey.

Perhaps Red Hot Hoofs (1926) is the same title that your photo from " Cow Punching for Cupid" as it has Frankie Darro and De Lacey in the photo which you found from the publication on Lantern dated in 1926. So, perhaps only two titles are what should be posted on "Aventuras" website?

Hope that helps,
Dana

Hi Dana:

Thank you for your response - I wondered about those 2 film collectible card titles (not lobby cards, but the smaller variety; the R94 series came in either gum or candy packages in 1929). From what I understand, these cool monotone film cards are highly sought after.

I wondered about "Red Hot Hoofs" (1926) being "Cow Punching for Cupid" - kind of hard to tell although that tablecloth in both images seem to match.

Thanks for your help!

I get these cards confused. I see them for sale from time to time and even see another version available in cigarette cards from the early 20's.

Probably worth what they sell for since they are not reproductions of the originals.

Thanks, Dana

Yes, Rustling For Cupid (1926) was a comedy western starring Anita Stewart.
