Thomas Tally, LA Film Exhibition Pioneer, Part II

PostMon Nov 20, 2017 10:49 am

I correct the many fallacies spread over the years regarding when he entered the business, opened the first film theatre, and kept his theatre open, showing "A Trip to the Moon" in 1903 and not going on the road with "The Great Train Robbery." He later employed the first use of an electrified orchestra pit and theatre organ in LA, before founding the First National Exhibitors Circuit in 1917.
