Regarding Merion Leonard identification.

PostSun Jun 03, 2012 3:16 am

I was watching the 2nd disc to the newest volume of "Treasures from the American Archives" and spotted a familiar face in the short "Over Silent Paths" (1910); Merion Leonard.

A while back I donated a 35mm one reeler starring Jame Kirkwood to the LoC. The main title was gone but it was surely from Reliance Film Company ca. 1911.

I thought I identified her back then but am pretty darn sure of it now.

Here is a frame close up of the unidenitifed ca 1911 one reeler from Reliance and a dvd screen cap from "Over Silent Paths" (1910), Biograph. (since all the shots in the film were long shots this is one of the best screen caps I could get of her.)

What do you guys think?
