And for those of you who don't know - OVERLAND STAGE RAIDERS is Louise Brook's last appearance (in a non-documentary film.) It's not much of a part but it is her....

A close friend of mine is related to the family of THREE TEXAS STEERS co-star Collette Lyons. Lyons' family basically had nothing at all on Collette's career so it has been a pleasure over the years for me to find copies of her films, stills, etc. for them. And in the process I have become more of a fan of Collette Lyons than I'd be from just seeing her in films but having no other personal connection with her.
I'm sure her family will be interested to know about this upcoming DVD release of one of Collette's movies (I'm sure these will look great and certainly be upgrades from my old video copies!)

Now, wouldn't it be great if Collette's 1927 Vitaphone short could be found and restored!

And oh yeah, Louise Brooks is pretty cool, too!

Hello again. Since I initially made this posting I have found this bit of info about these four films. Here is what someone from another forum said about the film elements being used to produce these blu ray discs:

"For what it's worth, Paramount's Barry Allen restored these titles from original 35mm elements -- the reissue negatives, I believe -- and struck shiny new 35mm prints of each. So the transfers ought to look and sound great."

Also thanks much to Ajabrams and Richard for sharing the info about two of the female stars in these films.

Maybe I'm just cluelessly missing it, but I don't see on the link provided whether or not these are being released on regular DVD also, or just on Blu-ray.

For Richard: I finally was able to find an answer to your question about whether the 4 films will be offered on regular DVD.
