The precursors to "Kids In The Hall"?

Haven't heard of Kids in the Hall. The Hallroom Boys was a popular comic strip in newspapers from about 1904 to mid 20's. In 1919 Smiling Bill Parsons bought the rights, hired the vaudeville team of Edwards and Flanagan who already had a routine based on the Hallroom Boys and started filming. He died shortly thereafter and the Cohn Brothers who were distributing the series with their newly formed CBC Film Sales company took over the production. CBC changed its name to Columbia Pictures and the rest is history.

Thanks so much for doing this, and certainly a Merry Christmas! I remember seeing Hallroom Boys film at Slapsticon several times. Sadly, Slapsticon is no more ( used to beheld outside of DC in Arlington VA in July).

I haven't seen much of the Hallroom Boys since, so this would certainly be a welcome addition at my house.
