Mr. Bigshot - It had been long enough between the time I got the magic book and the time I saw it in the B&N clearance racks that I failed to notice the size difference. After reading your post, I sure DID notice! I guess a smaller version of the Chaplin book would be a good idea, though. He's no longer the most famous guy in the world. A book the size (and weight) of the one we own is for us. A smaller one might attract the curious, and that can't be a bad thing. -MJ

TASCHEN publish smaller/cheaper editions after the larger XXL editions have sold out, but the time frame can vary. For example, The James Bond Archives sold out quickly in 2012/3, and a smaller edition was published 2015. In contrast, The Ingmar Bergman Archives was published 2008, sold out 2017, and there is no smaller edition yet. The Charlie Chaplin Archives XXL edition is still available with the film strip, so I guess it is going to be quite a few years before any other edition come out.

TASCHEN do not discount their books, but they do sales of damaged/store copies every Jan through their website - and there is always the option of buying used copies via boookfinder.com.

Yeah, I kinda figured that a Limited Edition of 10,000 was a little ambitious. There just aren't that many of us around. But what a treat the book is for those of us who ARE around!
