When and how did this film disappear? How many prints were struck? Was it ever reissued (doubtful)? Where are the sound disks (UCLA)? Is it possible to get a CD?

When Universal sold the rights for THE CAT AND THE CANARY to Paramount, and supposedly destroyed the camera negative to the '27 and '30 version.

The average print run of a film during that period was about 200-250 prints.
