A new member contacted a lot of our members this afternoon via private message to try to get some assistance with an upcoming trivia game. If he had asked via a post on the forum, we would have been fine with it. However, he spammed quite a few Nitratevillains, so he is banned, at least temporarily. If you did receive a PM from him, you don't have to respond to him or report him to the moderators, unless you want to work with him on his trivia challenge.

I just a sent the moderators a note about this, I should have guessed you'd be all over it. Sorry.

FWIW, jjeff is still at it today. Here I was feeling like I wasn't part of the "in" crowd and then his message appears.

Sorry about that. I had banned his email address, but I guess that was not enough. His username is now banned also, and I've emptied out his outbox, so if you didn't already read you PM from him, it is not there any more.

Thanks for taking care of this, Bruce. First I checked his history to see if he was a legitimate member. When I saw that he was brand-new and that he had never posted anything, I PM'ed him back saying that I wished him well, but that I didn't feel comfortable giving out my e-mail address to a total stranger.

Just a heads up:
I was checking out the Golden Silents message board, and found that the newest member was someone by the name of "jjeff".
