It would be quite interesting to see just what Brendel was up to in his missing Paramount silents, before sound locked him firmly into his Swede character.
I guess you'll have to wait for the book, kid!

Check out Posterfix on the web and on Facebook. There are videos of the work they do as well as photo galleries.

DO NOT USE Posterfix. The guy is known in the industry to do shoddy work and is not honest. Check this thread:

If you're talking about the print run at Capitolfest, it was a inferior print. I have a much better copy in 16 and I'm sure there are decent ones in 35 out there but not that one they ran.

:? Huh? YOU NEVER KNOW WOMEN??? How's that? This one came completely out of nowhere. I was hoping for some of the Pola Negri titles, especially THE SPANISH DANCER, and Lubitsch's FORBIDDEN PARADISE. Oh by the way, KID BOOTS was recently restored in 4K just last year. One might think that would be a...

My most wanted to see films from Fox which could possibly be seen in this series in "High Society Blues" (which is at UCLA) and "Merely Mary Ann" (at MoMA). Of course, there are other films which I would like to see from Fox, but their chances of being shown are very slight. I would hope that the pe...

Outtake footage from a Noel Francis "discovered on the street" Movietone news reel. There is a second part of this at the South Carolina archive website.
