Re: Laurel & Hardy on Blu-Ray [?]

You are in luck, just about every L&H Roach sound film is available as an HD download thru the iTunes Store (at least in the US). I believe these are the HD transfers made in conjunction with The Essential Collection, but not issued anywhere else. You can start your search here if you want... https:...

Re: Restoration work at Universal

There was to be a late '30s re-release of "Monkey Business", and the Hays Office issued notes as to what should be cut (which has been published)...but Paramount changed their minds and reissued "Horse Feathers" instead, with the extensive cuts we know today. "Monkey Business" was never touched.

I'm looking for Series-21 Short #8 released 4/6/42...a music short featuring a song by Groucho Marx. I 'd love to get a copy in any format, or at least ask a question to someone who's seen it.

Never be sucked in by anything claiming to be "remastered" or "best quality transfer" for this film...the BEST way to enjoy this one is to find the softest, most washed-out print you can. I'm serious about this, the less detail on Stan's face, the better.

I just noticed this independently yesterday and was directed to this thread...has anyone compared the people coming down the stairs to the extras in "Animal Crackers" (particularly the opening)?

Re: The Three Stooges Ultimate Collection Arriving on DVD Ju

After ingesting the box for a few weeks now, the only fault I see is with the 1953 short "Goof On The Roof"... Starting with the 3D "Spooks", released a few months prior, all Stooges films were all composed for and released in widescreen. However "Goof On The Roof" was actually shot a year earlier a...

Re: The Three Stooges Ultimate Collection Arriving on DVD Ju

The big question for me is whether this set will have an uncut version of "Punch Drunks," the Three Stooges second short. The DVD set I have now of the Stooges shorts contains the version that edits out the final scene in the fight ring. After Curly knocks out the other fighter, he continues to kno...

So last night after writing the above post I contacted the guy who discovered the print (I found him on Facebook), here's what he said... "Hi.
