Ultimately, I might enjoy downloaded films but there are still so many limits - access ability, commentaries Yes/No, subtitles if I want to turn the sound down and listen to the kids' trials and tribulations while seeing if Lee Marvin's really THAT much of a bad guy in THE BIG HEAT. Yes, he is.

TCM in particular shames me several times a month by showing me wonderful films I've never heard of or seen before.

I have stopped enjoying silents with two young kids around these days, discovering that I need to listen to films instead of hoping I can sit and only watch them.

Four or five years ago when I first stumbled on ARCHIVE ORG, they were getting started and, in the last month, I've managed to revisit it. Wow, what a great collection of films and old radio - that's all I've waded thru thus far.
