I see from the webpage that THE BLASPHEMER (1921) is another of the new releases. While its description makes it sound like it will be heavy-handed moralizing on a low budget, the film is actually quite well-made and decently acted. It would make a perfect second feature to play with DeMille's silent version of THE TEN COMMANDMENTS. There was a lovely old original print shown at a Cinefest a while back. I hope they got a good transfer. The last few Grapevine DVDs I've seen (most recently MISS BLUEBEARD and OH, DOCTOR!) had excellent contrast and their sharpness compares quite favorably with many Kino DVDs (though of course not the Blu-rays).

Bob,

:D Lo! LUCKY DEVIL with Esther Ralston! Never thought that I would get to see this one. And since WOMAN HANDLED was part of the Archive Treasures Box Volume 5 a few months ago, this is the second Esther Ralston film with Richard Dix that has been made available in a short period of time. Although, I think it's a re-edited Kodascope? Thanks for keeping us posted on the new Grapevines. I would have loved to have scored this one for them. Need to get a hold of Jack and find out what he's got left?

Does the uncut version of this exist? An IMDB user review says it was altered a bit for the cutdown besides the usual scene omissions, including changing Dix's character's name from Randy Farnum to William "Bill" Phelps and deleting some mild expletivies.
