And for those who don't want to wait, the "French Masterworks" series that includes
Gribiche will be out in about a month.
In honor of this, I've posted two very charming excerpts from our
Gribiche score to our home page: J.S. Zamecnik's
Le Chant des Boulevards (a re-recording of a piece that appeared on our early album,
Cinema: Silent Film Music by J.S. Zamecnik), and a suite of songs from the 1918 musical comedy
The Rainbow Girl. This is the medley as published; different bits of it are used in different places in the score itself.

The French Masterworks set, with Gribiche and five other Albatros productions, is available for pre-order. At the moment, it's cheaper
direct from the source than from Amazon.

Strictly dvd or blu ray as well?

DVD, except for "The Late Mathias Pascal" that is available separately on Blu-Ray but is included in the DVD set. These are wonderful films.

Will the other films be coming out in Blu-Ray eventually? I already purchased the Blu-Ray of
Mathias Pascal.

Just guessing, but because this was originally announced to include Blu-Ray, it seems a decision was subsequently made that releasing them in Blu-ray wasn't feasible economically. I'm glad to see them in any form.

There are no plans to release the others on Blu-Ray. We don't even have HD masters.
