Well, we hit $5K a little while ago. There's still at least one more Musty short worthy of being transferred and scored for YouTube release. KS backers get their copy of the DVD before it goes on sale, and will get links to view the YouTube releases before they get officially posted. 3 more days to be part of making a silent film DVD release happen...!

Thanks, Rosemary!

128% funded, but pledges still accepted until Kickstarter ends tonight at 8:54pm (EDT). Backing the project means you'll get the DVD before it goes on sale, links to the YouTube-posted shorts before they get "released" and, best of all, the fun of being part of the "somebody" in "why doesn't somebody put that out on DVD?"

Click here for Musty's Kickstarter page.

I've already gotten notice from Ben, but as some one who is looking forward to seeing the Musty Suffer shorts on DVD, my personal thanks to the 126 people who contributed almost $5300 -- an average of almost $42 each. That's far more than was needed to get a copy. My particular thanks to the people who couldn't afford a large enough amount to get a copy, but contributed anyway. It's a testament to the contributors' generosity and to the rightful esteem that Ben is held in.

Update? Or Must-I Suffer longer before learning the latest details and a release date?

Jim, keep watching CNN. I can't get the films/transfers while the LoC is closed due to the shutdown (smites forehead).

Musty Suffer DVD set as first collaboration between Undercrank Productions (Ben Model) and the Library of Congress... next thing we know the government shuts down. Coincidence? I wonder. Model has been know to bring thunder, lightning and snow to the Library of Congress on days he is to perform at the Packard Campus... should we not believe he is in control here? Could be wrong on this, but I could be right!

Either that, or Ted Cruz also hates "Musty Suffer" comedies…

…there's undoubtedly also a Henry Lehrman joke in here somewhere, as well…

Anyhoo -- lights are back on in Culpeper, and I'll be down there tomorrow to play for Steve Massa's shorts program. Once Charlie Chaplin and Chester Conklin get the machinery up and running again, Musty will get back on track.

Didn't HAIRY REED make some Windbag Comedies for states no rights release?

I've created a Facebook fan page for Musty Suffer. If you do FB and are interested in seeing more frequent updates on the DVD project (I'm only going to be posting major milestones here), click here to 'like' it.

Thanks.
