The Night Rose aka Voices of the City (1921) survived in complete form according to this research site:

http://lcweb2.loc.gov/diglib/ihas/loc.m ... fault.html" target="_blank" target="_blank" target="_blank

According to every site about this film, it was thought to be lost.

Years ago I read that this film was once thought to have survived only to find out that it was another film with same Name from 1929.

Do someone know if this is actually the Chaney film or just a mistake ?

Just checked IMDb and it states "This film is considered lost." ? So this is a mystery? What do we all think? This is way over my head?

All the information is accurate to the 1921 movie. There is still the possibility that studio made a mistake.

I checked the records in my possession, and VOICES OF THE CITY (1921) aka THE NIGHT ROSE has been part of the MGM, then Turner, then WB inventory for decades. It is possible that the studio never made a print, so that it is not viewable.
