"Watch your pep" w.c. fields?

Post by milkit1 » Sat Dec 21, 2013 6:30 pm

I stumbled across some old strip cards from 1925 era and one was for a film called "Watch your pep" starring Alberta Vaughn. In the picture there is a man that is the spitting image of W.C. Fields circa 1925 but I can find no record of him being in it. I'm not sure how to post images but if someone could email me I can send an image via email. Would really love a second opinion.

Thanks!
Sean :)

Here's instructions on how to display photos on Nitrateville. You must use an internet upload site like Flickr or Picasa.

There's a 1928 movie by that name starring Miss Vaughn and Al Cook.

yeah I saw the info on it but cant seem to find a copy of it. Was wondering if it was possible that Fields hada small role in it?

No, the Fields-looking fellow you're referring to is Al Cooke, who was a former Mack Sennett clown and in the mid-1920s starred in a lot of shorts with Alberta Vaughn and another comic named Kit Guard. As Bob says WATCH YOUR PEP is from 1928, and besides Vaughn and Cooke, the handsome young guy on the left in the cowboy hat is Lewis Sargent and the goofy cowpoke to the right of Cooke is George Gray.
