Cool, I've never been to a festival that shows films that no longer exist. Sign me up for LONDON AFTER MIDNIGHT and A BLIND BARGAIN, as well as any lost Clara Bow or Colleen Moore film they might be showing, if any.

I'm already planning my wardrobe and my social networking agenda. I hope The Bioscope will provide recommendations for defunct fine dining establishments within walking distance of the long-gone theaters.

Will do. Those travelling from afar should be assured that we will be offering the full festival experience, with hotel recommendations and suggestions for sights to see while you're in town.

Dare we hope for a banquet? With dead celebrity guests?

Any chance you can book a pristine print of James Cruze's Hollywood?

Though it would be tempting to programme requests, the emphasis will be on surprise - so no LONDON AFTER MIDNIGHT (which we know exists anyway, it's just malign forces that are suppressing it).

I keep hoping for one of the 1930s Japanese versions of King Kong.
