The first review is up! Raquel Stecher’s “Out of the Past” site singles out a rare Monty Banks short (?!) and another with Billy Bletcher as comedy highlights of the new DVD. Read all about it right here.

Another great review has just been posted, this time on on ZekeFilm! Interesting to see which rarities were at the top of the list for this reviewer.

Read the write-up here.

Ben, what the first reviewer says about the German intertitles on "Derby Day" is right. I can read them, so it was no trouble for me. But I just imagine what'd happen if the intertitles were in Czech, or Norwegian, Danish, or something like that, which wouldn`t be really unusual considering where many nitrate prints have been preserved. Even understanding the "state of art" rule of the DVD series, I don't think it would hurt adding in future occasions optional English subtitles (instead of replacing those in the print).

thanks!

Martin
