All know me - Collect selected short subjects, since 1962 guaranteed - Super and Std 8mm, also dabble in 9.5 - One-time 16mm collector, prefer the smaller gauge; sharp aspect ratio, track, and all that - PLEASE refer to me for anything in film and help as regards 8mm - I thank my good friend Bruce Calvert for all his kind help in opening the door to this top-notch site - Alot of you fine people have heard of me (my reputation precedes?) :) - Happy to be here

I have PERDON VIEJITA (1927) and I need to create a soundtrack.

The problem is that I have one recording from an original Vitaphone disc for its reissue in in1932.

The problem is to know where to insert that particular recording...

Hello Shorty and Welcome.

I still break out the small gage a couple times a year and love it. Kids of this era can be fascinated by the projected image which is on the road to extiction.

Is it just me, or did Standard 8 have better density than Super 8? I bought some Standard 8 prints that had excellent conrtrast and density and nearly all of the Super 8's I bought later could never match it, although the frame size was bigger.

Single 8 came out in '32, and many of the shorts and other subjects sparkled usually because of fine grain masters or top-dupes of 16 as reduction. Super 8 in '65 stil miantains alot of that sharpness, not as much, but I'll still match any of mine to a 16 -Stay in touch - Oh, I don't think the 8mm gauges are extinct, as Derann still releases Super 8 to a large collecting world

The only bar I own is the one I frequent at Marco Polo Tavern, here in Summit - As to the cheese, I tried it, but never made it to Wisconsin yet - Been a film collector and actor all my life
