I just noticed this minute that there is a new posting at Carl Bennett's SILENTERA.COM. Hooray...I think... It is the first update of any sort I've seen in many moons. It may not mean the site is becoming active or it may. Does anyone know? The update mentions the upcoming release of the Criterion Blu ray restoration of HAXAN on October 15th and Criterion's upcoming Blu ray release on October 8th of 3 SILENT CLASSICS BY JOSEF VON STERNBERG. I was particularly gratified to learn that the Sternberg release will feature Robert Israel and Donald Sosin scores as alternatives to the Alloy Orchestra's work. If any of you know for certain that the site is active again, please let me know. I'd certainly use that knowledge to renew my Patreon sponsorship of what I find still to be an invaluable website.
