The press release went out today and I expect that preordering pages/links will be ready in a week or so, but for those of you who missed out on Ed Lorusso's Kickstarter at the beginning of 2019, you'll still have an opportunity to pick this up. It's essentially the same as the DVDs Ed sent out, plus new menus – a new 2K scan off the 35mm nitrate preserved by Library of Congress, with some scenes filled out from material they accessed at UCLA (so it's a bit more complete than anything that's around). Theatre organ score by yours truly, plus as a bonus I've added on the Bickel & Watson boxing routine as performed in HOLD FAST (1916), since Watson is in the Davies film as a boxer.

DVD lists at $19.95 but will undoubtedly pre-order at a discount. Ed or I will post ordering links once they're up. Street date is Nov 19, 2019.

Cover design is by Marlene Weisman, who's done all my DVD artwork.

Hi, Ben.
Do you have any idea if Carl Bennett's invaluable SILENTERA.COM is actually an active site again? There have been a few updates on their home page and additions like the coverage of LITTLE OLD NEW YORK. [Interesting that the review indicates your Undercrank version has a slightly better picture than Ed's version for supporters. Perhaps I should have waited ] For a while, it seemed the site was about to disappear. I was a supporter at Patreon until the staff there told me they had heard nothing from Carl and that perhaps the site would vanish. I just wondered if you'd heard anything concrete.

I don't know what the situation with SilentEra is. But Carl was sent my press release and a screener, and he posted a review today. The site's front page lists the new Kino BRs of The Eagle and Our Hospitality and Criterion's most recent silent releases. There's an email address listed on the site to contact him; write to him...he probably has better info than Patreon's support team does.

I don't know why there'd be a difference in image quality, since I mastered the project with the exact same ProRes files Ed was working with. Unless it has something to do with how the Ed's and my final files were rendered out to m2v's for authoring.
