Tuesday a.m., June 9th, TCM has scheduled The Desert Rider released mid-1929, though in the can at the end of 1928.
Hopin’ this isn’t a mistake. This is a Tim McCoy silent western and, according to Exhibitor Herald World and Motion Picture News, was released without a synchronized score. Long-time MGM character actor Edward Connelly’s last role (he died of the flu) and also the last MGM cowboy B ever made.

Thanks so much.
I put a reminder in my phone under that date. I'm hoping. They don't pull it off the schedule.

But either way, thanks for looking out for all of us.

(As expected) TCM corrected the schedule today. The Desert Rider is still sheltering in place in the Eastman Museum’s Louis B. Mayer film vaults.

They are showing Desert Passage from 1952.
The only thing in common is having the word Desert in the title😣

Oh, well, since it's long since stopped being possible to record off TCM, I would have missed it anyway.
