The latest in the series of exuberant TV commercials for British insurance comparison website GO COMPARE is done in the style of a silent movie, and not badly at all.

Most of the UK is grateful for the silent film version for no other reason that we aren't subjected to a cod-operatic vocal of a reworded "The Yanks Are Coming". The previous version (of many) of the ad - and these have been getting a LOT of airplay - was set in a parodic Ancient Egyptian chamber tomb; but I forgave it as it played tribute to British Music Hall legends Wilson, Keppell and Betty....any excuse for a clip of WK&B....

I completely agree penfold! Much better now that irritating oaf is silenced. The new ad is quite a pleasure to watch, and is nicely done.
