Hi there!
Next Kennington Bioscope online event is this week, Wednesday May 27th at 19:30 BST (UTC+1; 20:30 CEST, 14:30 EDT, 11:30 PDT), free to all on YouTube.
We're showing the rare DW Griffith short FATE from 1913 with Lionel Barrymore and Mae Marsh, from an HD scan by a private collector, and THE TWINS (1911) directed by Lois Weber, courtesy of the EYE Filmmuseum's Jean Desmet collection, from an excellent restored DCP, as well as two light comedy shorts, also from the Jean Desmet collection at EYE.
The show will be hosted live by film historian Michelle Facey, with a live piano score during the broadcast from Cyrus Gabrysch, and brand new piano scores pre-recorded this week by John Sweeney and Colin Sell for the other films. I've heard Colin's today and they're wonderful!
Do join us at https://www.youtube.com/kenningtonbioscope, where our previous shows are also still available!
