Since George Feltenstein practically invented the Special Anniversary Edition and as I understand it, it would be Warner's that would do it, perhaps this will happen. I believe it is the 90th anniversary, though.

Hope that doesn't mean they'll leave it another decade in an excuse to make it the 100th anniversary edition.

A dvd edition of this restoration would be lovely, but I can think of few films where the statement "it's far better in a theater" is more applicable. If you get a chance to see it live, do so. Fly there. Drive there. Walk there. Swim there. See it.

The Academy better do an encore screening, because I quite possibly would.

I think it's already been well established that Warners is keeping this title off the shelf for the sole purpose of annoying you and making your life generally irritable.
