Happy New Year To All,
My film series starts back up again this Thursday January 8th after a two week holiday break with a super 8 Niles print of the Josef von Sternberg (1930) film The Blue Angel. This is the more common German speaking version, which stars both Emil Jannings, and Marlene Dietrich. Sternberg shot this film back to back in both English and German, and with the same cast. The English speaking version was thought lost for many years.
All films in the series are on Reel Film, and on Thursday evenings through March at 7:30PM at The WOMR Davis Space in The Schoolhouse 494 Commercial St. in Provincetown, MA. There will be a $5 dollar suggested donation to help community supported radio WOMR during the off season. Free Popcorn will be provided by The Provincetown Inn, and Beer, Wine, and Soda will be available for donation too
