A Tough One

ok, here goes.

I hate 8mm and 16mm projectors with all the loud noise, the reeling of the film thru the film path, manintenance, etc.

But, I have a few 8mm and 16mm silents I'd like to watch.

Is there something like the old motorized editors with a built in 6 inch screen that I could watch BOTH 8mm and 16mm films on? does anyone out there have one for sale? Please let me know...thanks!!

Thanks!

Retro

Where are you and your film collection located?

Brooklyn, New York City. But I'd hardly call 6 reels "a collection. :)

There are several NYC-based 16mm collectors on this forum that could help you out with watching your films. You could find more if you post your question at http://www.16mmfilmtalk.com" target="_blank. Some collectors have a sound-proof projection booth in their homes, but I don't even notice the projector noise myself.

I know that Blackhawk used to sell a mini-screen viewer for 8mm films, but good luck finding one. There's also film editors with small screens, but they are not ideal for watching films.
