OK. I bought one a few years ago.
Since then I canceled my cable service and switched to a streaming package via internet. The streaming package runs on apps. The TV came with about a dozen pre-downloaded apps I've never even opened since they're all crap.
In the last couple months I dumped the streaming package of ten-channels (I only ever watched 3) and downloaded the new Discovery+
In the last few weeks I've been getting a WARNING about the TV's memory being almost full.
Does the TV memory store the shows I've watched? How can the memory be full? I have no sort of DVR storing recording of things. How does watching an old episode of FLIP OR FLOP or whatever affect the TV's memory? If adding the Discovery+ app blew out the TV's memory, why didn't it say so at the time I added it?
I don't get it. I'm too old for this shit.

Re: SAMSUNG SMART TV
Not sure if it's the same as your problem, but I was having a memory issue on my Amazon Fire stick. I did a factory reset and then reinstalled the same apps I previously had on the Fire stick and (fingers crossed, knock on wood) it has been working fine since then. Sometimes you just have to do a reset, wipe the accumulated software junk. Don't know why, but it works.

Re: SAMSUNG SMART TV
I have a 2012 smart Samsung TV but don't have this issue. Scouring the web, it appears this may be an error with the TVs OS miscalculating the amount of memory it has.
There are many suggestions out there from resetting the memory to upgrading to the latest TV software (connect TV to WiFi). Not seen too much in the way of positive confirmation that any of this works.
The issue I had with Samsung smart TV apps is that they just randomly stop being supported and auto delete. Incredibly annoying. Ended up getting a Firestick and all this crap went away.
Smart apps on TVs are just a sales come on as far as I can see.

Re: SAMSUNG SMART TV
My Sony BR player lost some apps as well as my Visio TV. Just this week my iPad mini won't update the YouTube app and I have to go through gyrations to use what's left.
Sigh... Ain't technology grand? I'm starting to sympathize with ol' Ned Ludd.

Re: SAMSUNG SMART TV
I've gotten into streaming on my laptop so almost the only time I use my big screen flat TV is to watch a Blu-ray. The only memory problem with my TV is that I'm starting to forget I have one. News, etc. all by internet these days.
