The Fairlane was manufactured in Argentina between the late 60s until 1978. Although they were geared towards people that were extremely rich, unlike today's cars these ones were manufactured to last. In fact, they are still in use.

This commercial is notable because it was made in color but framed for television (broadcasts were still in black and white). It features a terrific song and the cast is nice but not really attractive... the attraction is the car itself!

I had repaired again this 1969 commercial filmed in color to be shown in movie theaters although it was available only in black and white on television. Watching it as they were originally shown it is clear that it works better in black and white; the Argentine film industry never worked well with color:





This car was geared to very high class customers and the commercials are usually very annoying because of this. However, this ad from 1970 (in black and white only) it is really good. The camera was placed in a few locations in Buenos Aires that more or less have never change and cinematography is really good.
