Volkswagen 1500 (1983)

In 1981 Chrysler sold their franchise in Argentina to Volkswagen and, quite abruptly, the Dodge 1500 became the VW 1500. Commercials at the time reflected this abrupt change, however nobody complained and Wolkswagen kept manufacturing them for a few years up until 1988, a year after this company and Ford merged in a new company: Autolatina (disolved in 1995).
