After a long struggle with Alzheimer's, the popular 'Blue Peter' presenter has died. Although he fronted and appeared in other shows, he will probably be remembered best for 'Blue Peter', a series where he was often called upon to do many hair-raising stunts in addition to the less risky parts of the show. Most British folk of 'a certain age' will have grown up with his antics even though he left the show in 1978.
