UCLA has posted eight of the 80 U.S. Steel Hour 16mm kinescopes they have:

Four of them are from kinescopes, but the other four are from 2” video tape, fortunately enough.

A surprise - a good one, but I thought the problem was always that UCLA had loads of stuff but wasn't able to do anything with it.

UCLA Film & Television Archive holds over 80 episodes of U.S. Steel Hour, generously donated (in some instances with broadcast rights) by individuals notably associated with The Theatre Guild, including Marilyn and Phillip Langner, Armina Marshall Langner and Benjamin Aslan. With the generous permission of numerous talent guilds, the Archive invites viewers to pull up a chair for a look into our cathode past with a selection of U.S. Steel Hour episodes.
