If I recall correctly, Mrs. Astaire got quite a bit of pushback from film fans for allowing that ad. I've noticed that there hasn't been another like it since, that I know of.

And Audrey Hepburn stars in this 2014 Roman Holiday themed commercial for Dove chocolate.

I had not seen either of those. I stand corrected. The John Wayne is creepy for sure. The Audrey Hepburn looks like an imposter. I'm not familiar with Roman Holiday, so I wouldn't know if that was actual footage, but it looks too modern to me.

Not seen the ad for ages (chocolate) but seem to recall thinking it was a mock-up rather than using any footage. Not seen ROMAN HOLIDAY for a long time (and not likely to), so only got the Hepburn ref...

Particularly because whenever Astaire footage was used in a film or documentary around that time, there always had to be a credit to the effect of "The image of Fred Astaire is used through the courtesy of Mrs. Fred Astaire".
