For a man who didn't mind playing tough guys, Bogart had a charming smile. Sad to think that he died only three years later.
It was interesting to see that photo of Bacall on Truman's piano, because I recently watched an episode of "History Detectives" on Air Canada which mentions in passing that it was taken by the first female White House photographer, Marion Carpenter.
