I adore looking through these programs ... one day, when I'm filthy rich, I'll actually buy something from one (other than Greta Garbo's used Mixmaster.)

I am very taken with the Walter Plunkett costume drawing for Singin' in the Rain (during the musical number with the fashion show). Nice to see the costume on film really does look just like the drawing.

The examples on offer seem to confirm the claim that her feet weren't big - she just had a preference for big, clunky loafers that nobody could make look dainty.

If I knew the right friendly millionaire, I'd probably go for Lina Lamont's dress and Norma Shearer's lace cape from Marie Antoinette.

Hey, a John Barrymore cape! But on a more practical level, the Balalaika cossack coat is very stylish and reasonably priced if you don't mind the fake bullet accessories.

The GARBO material impressed me too! Wouldn't you just love to take a peek into one of her "Datebooks"?

Her government documents made my imagination go wild. Especially that Driver's License photo. With her fear and loathing of being in public situations and especially having her picture taken, I kept thinking of her stepping up to the counter to identify herself and then having to be photographed. That's some good stuff.

A few questions cropped up. Maybe some of you Garbophiles may know the answers. Her Passport application lists her emergency contact person as Gray Reisfield. But she is listed as "friend". Wasn't Gray her niece?

There was one particular Swedish book listed in her collection, called "Garbo Och Eunucken", which was published in 1995, which was five years after her death. I wondered how that could have been in her library of books.

This was an amazing assortment of Garbo-bilia.
