Hi NitrateVille residents,

A beautiful 1938 streamline moderne building in West Hollywood is slated for demolition as part of a redevelopment for yet another apartment building/office/retail combo. The Wurdeman & Becket firm, who also did the Pan Pacific Auditorium, designed this stunning example of streamline moderne architecture. The building is in good condition and a candidate for adaptive re-use.

See link from the Art Deco Society of Los Angeles and if you can, please write to the city hall council members (their emails are in the link). You don't need to be a resident of West Hollywood or Los Angeles (though it would certainly help) to write. Just someone who is passionate about preserving these unique stunning architectural treasures.

Thanks

Todd

Thanks for the additional link on this great building. Hope the group has brought it to the attention of the National Trust for Historic Preservation. Please keep us posted. So many reasons to save it!
